Tetris Beats 100 Million Paid Mobile Phone Downloads

Tetris, known as a top video game of all time has reached a new milestone beating the 100 million mark on paid mobile phone downloads worldwide. This makes Tetris the top-selling mobile game ever across any platform. This was reported by Blue Planet Soft and EA Mobile.

This game was created by Alexey Pajitnoy in 1984 and it was awarded as the Guinness World Records most ported game on Gamer’s Edition, having more than 55 Platforms. After tetris was created, it was ported to the original NES, Nintendo Game Boy, to mobile phones in Japan (after 10 years) and finally to mobile phones in the US (2001).

Henk Rogers of Blue Planet Software says that “Tetris has been the number 1 game since the mobile phone came out…Other games have come and gone.  Tetris still going.”

Modern Warfare II Hits Number 1 Spot on UK Charts this Christmas

MW II hits number one spot on UK’s Christmas Chart for the TOP 40 Entertainment Software. MWII remained unbeatable for six consecutive weeks increasing sales by 3%. On the other hand, Fifa 10 took a momentous 24% weekly sales increase which enabled it to jump to number two from rank 5. Fifa 10 is followed by WII FIT PLUS hitting third place after taking four consecutive forward jumps.
